A popular deer hunting season opens tomorrow.
Greene County Conservation Director Tanner Scheuermann says the first shotgun season is from December 4th-8th. He reminds hunters that a blaze orange vest is required for shotgun seasons and it’s also a good idea for bystanders as well.
“We also recommend if you’re out recreating in some of these areas, if you’re not hunting to also wear blaze orange, we tell people, especially out on the bike trails and things like that. Again, just so you’re visible and people can see you when you’re out there.”
Scheuermann adds, hunters may have a valid hunting license and paid the respective habitat fees to hunt during the first shotgun season. The second shotgun season will be from December 11th-19th.
