Dallas Center – Grimes wrestling started the season strongly on Thursday night in Grimes, as they took on a good Norwalk team and were able to walk away with a nice 35-28 win.
The key for the Mustangs were they were able to put together six wins total along with five falls on the night. At 106, Ayden Beck grabbed a fall and at 132 Logan Gard was also able to do the same. At 152, Jacob Fistler was able to grab another victory with a fall, at 170 Ben Brushaber grabbed the win, and at 182 Connor Pertzsch was able to wrap things up for the Mustangs.
The five falls proved crucial to the Mustang score, as Norwalk was able to only post one and wasn’t enough despite their eight victories in the dual.
For DCG, they will be looking for a strong showing at home tomorrow in their tournament in Grimes. The match will begin at approximately 10 a.m.
