Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity had a successful fundraiser for their Helping Hands program in Guthrie Center. 

Executive Director Jeff Lamoureux says he was very pleased about the Soup For Soul fundraiser turnout and that it raised over $2,000 for the Guthrie County habitat organization on November 14th. Lamoureux thanks the volunteers that were involved. 

“Real good volunteers, mainly members from our board that took the afternoon to help with that fundraiser. I’d also like to thank all the congregations that helped supply the soups, and the bars, and cookies that we had along with that. So, you know, all in all, we were real pleased with the fundraiser. We’re pleased that we were able to raise some money and again, that money that’s going to go and help some families there in Guthrie County.”

Lamoureux explains that the more money they collect the more housing projects they can do.
