The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is having an event to help wildlife at Springbrook State Park Sunday. 

Department of Natural Resources Educator Anne Riordan says they are having an event called “Make And Take Bird Feeders.” She explains what this event is all about. 

“We’re going to take some pinecones and make bird feeders to hang in trees in the backyard, and we’re also going to repurpose some plastic pop bottles into bird feeders that are going to be really simple to make. Just a good way to get started.”

Riordan says this event is free and is family friendly for all ages. The event will ask participants to bring a clean 12-20 ounce plastic pop bottle, warm clothing and meet at the Campground Gazebo at Springbrook State Park on Sunday 1pm
