A Jefferson man was recently sentenced to probation from several incidents that took place last year.

According to court documents, 37-year-old Alan Tuhn pled guilty to two Class D Felonies for second degree theft and forgery. He had his two five year prison sentences suspended and was placed on probation for two years. 

The charges stem from an investigation by the Jefferson Police Department. Tuhn used several stolen checks that totaled over $1,700. The incidents occurred between May 22nd and August 5th. 

Tuhn was ordered to pay over $3,000 in fines, surcharges and victim restitution.
