6:36am: An officer investigated a One Vehicle Accident on the overpass in the 700 Block of North Elm Street. A 2004 Jeep Liberty, owned and operated by Lewis Pierson III of Jefferson, was southbound on North Elm Street. The vehicle lost control on the icy road and struck the side rail of the overpass. The vehicle had a reported $1500.00 in damages. The overpass was not damaged.

8:25am: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Accident at Reed and Elm Streets. A 2000 Chevrolet Suburban, owned and operated by Shannon Faller of Jefferson, was westbound on West Reed Street. Faller could not stop at the posted stop sign at Elm Street and slid through the stop into the intersection, striking a northbound vehicle. The 2008 Ford F250 was owned and operated by Mark McDermott of Panora. The Faller vehicle had a reported $5000.00 in damages, while the McDermott vehicle suffered a reported $10000.00 in damages. Faller was cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

9:21am: Bruce Youngblood requested an officer at 1001 East Russell Street for a Civil Issue occurring over a property line.

10:52am: Jeanette Hernandez advised of a package from Amazon not showing up at her residence at 301 East Lincoln Way Street. The website showed the package had been delivered, but it was not there. The officer advised her to contact Amazon and advise them of this, incase it was delivered somewhere else by accident.

3:47pm: Oly’s Corner advised of a Gas Drive Off from 208 West Lincoln Way Street. The driver left without paying for $74.98 in fuel. The officer made contact with the driver, who returned to pay for the fuel.

6:47pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical call in the 1000 Block of West Washington Street.

8:05pm: A Traffic Stop at 220th and Oakland resulted in Amy Fletcher of Iowa City being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

9:19pm: An officer located a semi parked near Clark and Oak Streets, facing the wrong direction. The officer located the driver in a nearby residence and advised him to remove the vehicle from the street, after explaining the ordinance violations.
