WCV boys and girls basketball will be up against crosstown rival Panorama tonight. Both WCV teams will be looking to get a rebound win.

The girls will start the double-header. They struggled against Des Moines Christian in their last game. That was a game where the Wildcats couldn’t generate very much offensively and the Lions capitalized. Des Moines Christian won an ugly defensive game 34-16. Now WCV will focus on rival Panorama. It’ll be no easy task, the Panthers are 4-0 and have been dominate all season. It’ll be a tall order for the Wildcats.

The boys will finish the double-header. The boys also had a rough game against Des Moines Christian losing that game 63-28. Their matchup with the Panorama boys will be a battle of two 1-3 teams. It’ll be a rough defensive game as both teams average 47 and 36 points a game respectively. WCV is looking to change the narrative on the rivalry as well. The last time the Wildcats beat the Panthers was in 2016.

The girls will start the games at 6pm and the boys will follow at 7:30pm in Stuart.
