Dallas Center – Grimes wrestling participated in a tournament on Saturday against multiple schools and wrestlers at the Frank Baltzley Invite in Johnston, as they were able to get some wrestlers towards the top of the podium.

At 106, Ayden Beck was able to navigate a good bracket to get to the championship match, grabbing a solid 2nd place finish in the process. At 160, Riley Kovaleski was able to put together a 5th place finish along with Logan Gard at 132 also putting up a 5th place finish.

The tournament featured some terrific teams from 3A wrestling from all over the state of Iowa, and gave DCG a good opportunity to put together some good results against great competition.

For DCG they will be returning to the mat on Thursday when they compete in Little Hawkeye Conference play at Grinnell.
