Friday, December 10th
9:26am: An officer assisted a motorist experiencing engine problems at Elm and Lincoln Way.
2:58pm: Pat Peterson reported a propane truck parked in the 400 Block of East Washington Street. The officer located the reported vehicle. No violations were occurring.
3:47pm: Charles Heimer reported a Scam Phone Text he had received. Heimer had been texting with a female in the short past. She asked for money to take a taxi to Jefferson and meet him. He sent a small amount of money with a Gift Card. The female never arrived in Jefferson. The subject was now texting him and threatening suicide if he did not send her money. The officer advised it was a Scam and to end contact with the subject.
6:20pm: Amber Tronchetti requested a Welfare Check on two juvenile daughters, who were staying with their father at 700 South Elm Street. The officer went to the residence and spoke to the children, who advised the father was asleep. The officer spoke to the father and determined he was intoxicated. Amber was contacted to pick up the children and DHS was contacted by the officer.
8:10pm: James Holz reported his 2016 Honda Pilot had been struck and damaged while parked at 1901 North Grimmell Road. The vehicle suffered $800.00 in damages. The officer is working to obtain video from the school to determine the other vehicle involved.
8:39pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Lane.
11:15pm: Kyle Cuddy reported a female screaming in the 500 Block of South Olive Street. The officer checked the area, but did not find anyone needing assistance.
Saturday, December 11th
11:10am: Brittany Smith reported a Criminal Mischief had occurred at 304 North Chestnut Street. Unknown persons had broken out three vehicle windows. The officer is investigating.
6:35pm: An officer investigated an accident at 220th and Elm Streets. A 2020 Ram 1500, owned and operated by Thomas Hildreth of Rockwell City, was leaving the posted stop sign and heading south on Elm Street. As Hildreth was going through the intersection, an eastbound vehicle left the posted stop sign and struck his vehicle. The eastbound vehicle was owned and operated by Colton Davis of Jefferson. The Hildreth vehicle had a reported $2000.00 in damages, while the Davis vehicle suffered a reported $1500.00 in damages. Davis was cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”
Sunday, December 12th
5:05pm: Nancy Halterman requested a Welfare Check on a male in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street. The officer went to the address and spoke to the male, who was fine.
7:08pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of West Vest Street.
8:08pm: Angela Dudley requested an officer to check her yard in the 500 Block of South olive Street, as she can hear a female screaming in the area. The officer checked the area numerous times and did not locate anything.
