Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers wrestling competed in their second tournament of the season up in Ankeny at Ankeny Centennial High School against multiple schools. In the team matches, ADM was able to put up a victory over Oskaloosa 44-30 while falling to Carlisle 40-38 and Ankeny Centennial 60-24.
The Tigers were able to have some terrific days out of four different wrestlers, with Jake Alexander at 113, Ben Smith at 145, Nathan Tapken at 195, and Aiden Flora at 132 all able to go undefeated against those schools. All of the wrestlers mentioned were also able to put in at least one fall on the day as well, as smart wrestling has been key to all of those wrestlers.
It was a good battle across the board as teams and wrestlers were pretty evenly matched, with ADM retaining their winning record during the process.
ADM will be having another meet on Thursday when they take on multiple schools at home in Adel in their first home match of the season.
