
The Stuart City Council met Monday.
The Council approved the 2021 Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Certificate, along with the Urban Renewal Joint Agreement between City of Stuart and Guthrie County, and Stuart Rescue and Empowering Adair County Foundation Grant for $7,883. They set a public hearing for January 10th for the amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan, the final pay estimate of $8,800 and certificate of completion for the All Saints Addition Project.
They also held a public hearing and then approved the general obligation annual appropriation refunding loan agreement not to exceed $2,550,000. The Council also approved a TIF program application and put a threshold of 300 hours on compensation time for government employees which will require employees to seek Council’s approval for using over 300 hours of compensation time.
The Council heard updates from the Economic Development Director about Hotel Stuart and phase four of the Housing Development Site Location Study.
Additionally, a public hearing was held and the Council approved the General Obligation Annual Appropriation Refunding Loan Agreement. Finally, the Council took no action on a municipal infraction of debris in a property owner’s lawn and tabled the utility board appointment.
