Kevin McCafferty, West Des Moines, was traveling on on Hwy 44 at El Paso Ave, when he attempted to pass a vehicle in the left lane.  Not seeing that Aaron Fives, Linden, was attempting to turn onto El Paso, Mr. McCafferty collided with Mr. Fives car.  Both cars ended up in a corn field at the intersection.  No injuries were reported.  Mr. McCafferty’s car received an estimated $1500 damage.  Mr. Fives vehicle received an estimated $2000 damage.  Mr. Fives’ vehicle was towed from the scene.  The other vehicle was driven away.

Benjiman Searl, age 39, 410 W. Market St, Panora, was arrested for Driving While Barred.

Dec. 21

Daniel Kading, age 32, 2230 Windflower Dr, Norwalk, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.

Ruben Diaz, age 25, 1278 SE Granite Dr, Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.
