A Perry man was sentenced to prison for an incident that occurred earlier this year in Perry. 

According to court documents, 47-year-old Scott Ryan Hall plead guilty and was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a Class C Felony of a controlled substance violation. The charges of a Class D Felony for failure to affix a drug stamp, and misdemeanors for keeping premises or vehicle for controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance were dismissed as a part of the plea agreement. 

According to the Perry Police Department, officers responded at 6:01am on February 22nd to a call about a red vehicle sitting in the roadway at 10th Street and Evelyn Street but had its reverse lights on. Upon arrival officers say Hall appeared to be unconscious. 

Officers then woke Hall up and saw a zip lock bag on the floor board that contained a white powder. Upon searching the vehicle, 66.1 grams of methamphetamine and 1.3 grams of marijuana were found, along with other drug-related items such as, a digital scale, a methamphetamine pipe, multiple syringes and multiple marijuana pipes.

Hall also incurred a cost of $211 from the court case.
