U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne

A U.S.  Congresswoman has recently provided grant funding for municipal improvements in some of Iowa’s Third Congressional District. 

Representative Cindy Axne says the grants cover Adair, Adams, Cass, Montgomery, Union and other counties. She says more than $610,000 will go to these counties for improvements ranging from water issues to equipment for hospitals, police departments and fire stations. Axne states these grants will help Iowans. 

“And I know (that) the Governor (Kim Reynolds) is looking forward to using those funds to make sure that we can make it a safer environment for Iowans.”

The City of Fontanelle will receive $7,000 to improve their fire department and local Emergency Medical Transportation unit.
