It’s break time for Iowa high school basketball teams, including the Rockets of Paton-Churdan. Neither the boys or girls have a victory yet, but the boys have been close in their last two games, falling in close battles with West Central Valley and Glidden-Ralston.
The WCV contest was in Churdan and P-C was down by 11 points in the fourth quarter before getting to within two points late, and losing by three. Against G-R on the road, the Rockets faced a 24-point third quarter deficit and clawed their way to within three before losing by six points.
Head Coach Bud Fagen commented to Raccoon Valley Radio about the effort he has seen. “These kids aren’t going to give up. They’re going to battle to the end!”
The P-C girls and boys open the January portion of the schedule on the fourth in Churdan vs. Ar-We-Va (Westside).
