It’s break time for Greene County High School sports. Activities Director Todd Gordon talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the basketball and wrestling teams. The wrestlers will have an especially busy January which includes five tournaments as well as the regular slate of dual meets.
“Our wrestlers January schedule is good; we’re going to see a lot of growth there. I think they’ve prepared themselves for the January push and once they get through January, we’re on to Sectionals, Districts, and State Tournaments. Once we get back from break, for that six weeks, it’s just hang on because it’s like you’re taking off and you hope you’ve got a seat inside and not hanging by your hands out on the wing of a plane. It’s going to go very quickly!”

January for Coach Zach Beekman’s wrestlers begins on the fourth with a recently scheduled triangular in Martensdale with Martensdale-St. Mary’s and Nodaway Valley (Greenfield).
