The Guthrie County Attorney’s Office recently brought in a significant amount of money through its collection service.
Guthrie County Attorney Brenna Bird says since July 1st when the program started, the collections office brought in a total of $67,790. The collection office divided the total amount to put $60,732 towards general expenses and $7,058 for the County Attorney Office Fund. Bird says the county taxpayers work hard to earn a living and she is glad that they can do their part by bringing funds into Guthrie County.
The program also benefits people who make regular payments toward their court debt to be able to get their driver’s license back and their vehicles registered.
