AC/GC basketball programs have a busy coming out of winter break.
The girls and boys basketball programs will play six games in two weeks on the road after a long lay off.
Chargers Head Coach Boy Basketball Lance Kading speaks to Raccoon Valley Radio about the strategy dealing with a busy week.
” It’s hard to try to touch on scouting and going over stuff for each of those teams individually when you play four and six days because the first two, there’s no practice in between. So, you know, it’s a lot of trying to take care of ourselves and what we want to do on offense defense, go over our base coverages and that as far as diving too much into what the opponents do. I mean, that’s tough on a week.”
Chargers Head Coach Girls Basketball Coach Brad Baudler gives his thoughts on the schedule.
” I mean, it is what it is, and there’s going to be weeks of this in basketball where you’ve got three or four games a week and you just got to be flexible and you’ve got to roll with the punches. So yeah, I’d be great. But at the end of the day, we knew at the beginning there they knew us four games, fast break. But I’m glad there’s four games now instead of at the beginning of the season.”
The Chargers will start out the road schedule at Coon Rapids-Bayard tonight with the girls game at 6pm and Boys at 7:30pm.
