Friday, December 31st

12:37am: Deividas Guinan 30 of Des Moines was booked into the jail for failure to appear.

2:16am: John Roberts 23 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for disorderly conduct.

4:49am: A deputy investigated an abandoned 911 call in the 200 block of East Hager Street, Grand Junction.

8:50am: A deputy assisted with cattle out in the 1500 block of 235th Street.

11:17am: A deputy assisted motorist that went into the ditch on the ice-covered roadway on 220th Street and J Avenue.

3:43pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street near U Avenue.

4:31pm: A deputy assisted a motorist that went into the ditch on the ice-covered roadway on Neola Avenue near 330th Street.

4:46pm: A deputy investigated a dog bite in the 200 block of 6th Street, Grand Junction.

8:56pm: A deputy investigated a fireworks complaint on Elizabeth Street, Grand Junction.

9:56pm: A deputy, Churdan Fire, Jefferson Fire, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a single vehicle rollover on I Avenue near 160th Street. Cody Erwin 29 of Texas lost control of his vehicle on the ice-covered roadway and rolled in the east ditch. The vehicle was totaled in the accident. Nobody was injured. Cody was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla.

11:13pm: The Sheriff and deputy investigated a single vehicle rollover accident on Neola Avenue near 310th Street. Melanie Smith 21 of Des Moines lost control of a 2012 Jeep Liberty on the ice-covered roadway. The vehicle had an estimated 6,000 dollars damage. Nobody was injured in the accident.

Saturday, January 1st

3:37am: The Sheriff and deputy were notified that there were two burn victims at the Carroll hospital from a structure fire in Greene County. The cabin was located in the 1100 block of H Avenue. The cabin was a total loss and was completely consumed by the fire. Two juveniles were injured in the fire and transported from Carroll to Iowa City. One juvenile had serious injuries and the other juvenile was in critical condition. The cause of the fire is a suspected wood stove. Scranton Fire responded to the scene to make sure that there were no other injuries or victims.

8:39am: The Sheriff, Jefferson Fire, and Greene County Ambulance responded to the 1300 block of 170th Street for people passing out in the residence. The family was transported by personal vehicle to the Greene County Medical Center. There were high levels of Co2 in the residence.

6:39pm: A deputy assisted with cattle out on I Avenue near 240th Street.

10:16pm: A deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 1000 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.

11:34pm: A deputy assisted a motorist on D Avenue near 195th Street.

Sunday, January 2nd

8:21am: A deputy removed a deer from the roadway on 190th Street near L Avenue.

11:19am: A deputy investigated a dispute in the 400 block of South 15th Street, Grand Junction.

4:05pm: A deputy removed debris from the roadway on 220th Street and E Avenue.

10:36pm: A deputy investigated a violation of a no contact order in the 1400 block of U Avenue.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
