This Friday is an annual fundraiser for a special event coming up later this spring with Greene County High School.
The Junior Class Chili Supper Fundraiser will be from 5-8pm at the high school cafeteria. The menu consists of chili, crackers, cinnamon rolls and a beverage for a free-will donation. Those individuals that can’t attend in person, carry-outs will also be available on the north side of the high school commons from 5-7pm. Additionally, red, white and black thread bracelets will also be available for purchase for $8 or $15 for two. All proceeds will go toward this year’s Jr.-Sr. Prom.
Junior Class President Olivia Shannon explains why they chose this Friday to hold their fundraiser.
“It is the Hall of Fame induction and also a MEGA Night for basketball. So we knew there would be a lot of people drawn to the school that day. In addition, Roland-Story is the team that we are playing and their colors are red and black as well. So we hope that they will purchase the chili and the bracelets.”
No pre-registrations are necessary for either fundraiser. Friday’s home varsity basketball games will be against Roland-Story with the girls game to begin at 6pm.
