The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.
During open forum, Greene County ISU Extension staff addressed the Board. Director Lori Mannel reviewed the 2021 stakeholder report of the programs and other services the local Extension office provided last year. She also talked about an upcoming career readiness program. The program is three days at the end of February for those individuals who need to improve or promote job interview skills to help potential employers hire them. She asked for the Supervisors and the public to notify them of interested individuals who would like to be a part of the free program.
The Board then heard an update from Jefferson City Administrator Mike Palmer. He talked about the City selling several vacant lots to developers and adjacent neighbors, as well as holding public hearings to sell two commercial properties, including the former White Oak gas station on Elm Street and one of the bays of the former AirTemp building. He mentioned the City Council considering two architect agreements, one about the indoor pool at the community center and the other for remodeling the bathhouse at the outdoor swimming pool.
Next, the Board approved the County Recorder’s report of fees for December of $47,677, the County Auditor’s quarterly passport report for October through December of issuing 36 passports for $1,260, the County Treasurer’s semi-annual report and investment report as presented.
