The Class of 2022 was recently inducted into the Greene County Athletic Hall of Fame on Thursday.

The second ever ceremony included: Kris Curnyn Hagedorn Class of 1994 for track and field,  Rosemary Holden Hoyt Class of 1975 (Scranton) for track and field,  Adam Jones Class of 1998 for basketball, Pam Slock Sanders Class of 1961 (East Greene) for basketball, and Erik Strawn Class of 1982 for wrestling. Jones shared his thoughts about being honored by his former alma mater with Jefferson-Scranton, now Greene County.

“Yeah it’s great. It’s quite an honor. It’s humbling, especially so quickly after they decided to have the Hall of Fame. But makes you really reflect on the games, and the coaches, and the teachers you had.”

Hoyt echoed Jones’ sediment about being inducted into the Greene County Athletic Hall of Fame.

“It’s really kind of cool and like my boys all live out of state and they came back for this. It’s kind fun to have an event that’s good news and it’s exciting.”

This was the second class to be inducted into the Hall of Fame when the program started in 2020. It was cancelled last year because of COVID-19.
