For those individuals who have been affected by the storm that happened on December 15, 2021 the time to collect relief funds is running out. 

Guthrie County New Opportunities Director Rhonda Huggins says Guthrie County residents could receive funds from damages of the storm from December 15th. Huggins states for those that are eligible must have an application in their office by January 31st. Huggins explains the type of things the funds would go towards. 

“You know, there’s a food replacement, maybe your kitchen appliances, something happened to them or you have a sump pump or, you know, an air conditioner. I’m just actually looking at my list of things that could possibly be covered.”

Huggins encourages those who think they apply to reach out to the Guthrie County New Opportunities Office and they will sit down with you and figure it out.
