For one half of basketball, the Perry girls went toe to toe with the Heart of Iowa first place team on the road.  But foul trouble and the second game of back to back’s proved to be too much to overcome as West Marshall used their height inside to pull away from Perry 68-38 Tuesday night in State Center.  The Jayettes played a spirited first half, especially on the defensive end as they led at the end of the first quarter and trailed only by 8 at halftime 26-18.  Lydia Olejniczak scored a game high 21 points while Macy Tunick had her best game connecting on 4-6 shots to finish with 11 points.  Katherine West and Callie Steeva both picked up three fouls in the first half and West ended up fouling out with five minutes to go in the third quarter.  West Marshall improves to 14-1 while Perry falls to 5-9.
