Funeral services for Robert Joseph “Bob” Buchwald, age 85, of Des Moines will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden with Pastor Alan Miller officiating.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.  Burial will be at the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery in Glidden.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden.

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alberta Buchwald of Des Moines, IA; his children: Teri (Mike) Jahn of Lee Center, IL, Tom Ireland of Burnsville, MS, Tim Ireland of Milford, IA, Ted Ireland of Spirit Lake, IA, John Buchwald of Davis, IL, and Judy Buchwald of Wichita, KS; 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; his brother David (Carole) Buchwald of Tucson, AZ; his brother-in-law Stan (Lora) Janssen of Coon Rapids, IA; his sister-in-law Mary Ann (Richard) Courtney of Osceola, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
