
Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls basketball returned to the court on Friday night against the Oskaloosa Indians, and both teams were able to come away with relatively easy victories, with the boys winning 78-39 and the girls winning 68-24. The DCG girls pick up their 11th win of the season to move to 11-3 and the boys move forward with an 8-2 record.
Both teams were able to win in different fashions, with the girls jumping out to a quick 25-4 lead and never looking back in a easy victory. Emma Miner was able to lead the Mustangs with 21 points. The Mustangs came into the game as the number four team in 4A and showed why early and often.
On the boys side, DCG trailed after one quarter of play and only lead by seven at halftime, but made life miserable in the second half, as they played complete basketball during the frame. Bo Huston lead three different players in double figures with 16 points.
DCG will both have busy schedules coming up, with the boys going out of conference today when they take on the Carroll Tigers in a neutral site game at Gilbert.
