Dallas Center – Grimes saw some of the best wrestlers and teams from around the state of Iowa on Saturday, when the team competed in Urbandale at the Ed Winger Invitational.

The Mustangs were able to see multiple wrestlers get some points and wins for the team throughout the day, with Connor Pertzsch finished 6th at 182, Brenden Smith finishing 8th at 152, and Ayden Beck finishing 8th at 106. Smith was able to grab three wins in the consolation bracket while Pertzsch and Beck were both able to grab a pair of wins to their names. Carson Springer at 126 and Luke Benson at 145 were also able to grab a pair of wins as well for this Mustang team.

DCG will be returning to Little Hawkeye Conference play on Thursday when they take on Newton in a dual, as the Mustangs will be hoping to grab a victory after a decent weekend.
