AC/GC has an athlete playing multiple winter sports.

Sophomore Payton Jacobe is a dual winter sport athlete playing both basketball and wrestling. AC/GC Head Wrestling Coach Lane Rumelhart says the school administration made him pick a primary sport when there is scheduling conflicts so he picked basketball. Rumelhart says Jacobe switched week to week what sport he will practice with. He also praises the competitive spirit Payton has in both sports.

” We’ve seen him on the mat, obviously as a wrestling coach, I wish I’d see him more, but I’m just proud of the way he’s competing and giving all his his best effort to both sports.”

Jacobe is averging 1.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in basketball and a record of 11-7 on the wrestling mat.
