The West Central Valley School Board recently approved an agreement to help gain revenue for the athletic department.

Superintendent Rusty Shockley says that the Board approved at their last meeting an agreement with the athletic booster club to install advertisements around the baseball and softball fields and receive a portion of the revenue.

I’m working with the (Booster Club) because it sounds like they’ve got several businesses already on board to do it, so, you know, it’s kind of one of those things. We’re not out anything, but it’ll certainly bring some income into our athletic department, so we’ll see how it plays out.”

Shockley adds that the athletic booster club would pay for materials for the advertisements and the athletic department would collect a portion of advertisement dollars.
