AC/GC traveled up to Carrol Tuesday for the Kuemper Catholic wrestling dual.

The Chargers lost in the dual to Denison by one point, 36-37 , lost to Glenwood 18-56 and fell to Kuemper Catholic 18-64. AC/GC wrestling will host their own wrestling tournament between 20 teams Saturday. AC/GC Head Coach Lane Rumelhart tells Raccoon Valley Radio how difficult is it to put on a large tournament in his first year coaching.

“For my guys, I just tell them, you know, the only thing I want them focused on is wrestling, you know, let me do the thinking, they do the wrestling. I tell them that all the time and I’m managing it fine. I got good help around me. My assistant coaches are helping me, so.”

Rumelhart says he is really relying on former coach Shawn Danker and Cody Matthewson the Athletic Director. The AC/GC Wrestling Tournament will begin at 10am on Saturday.
