With the midterm elections coming up in November, several local candidates are announcing their campaigns for office.
The current Dallas County Treasurer Mitch Hambleton recently announced that he will be running for reelection as a Republican. Hambleton was first elected as county treasurer in 2014 and previously served nine years as the mayor of Dallas Center, spent eight years on Dallas Center City Council and ten years as a Dallas County Republican Party Chair.
Hambleton worked in the insurance industry for more than 30 years before running for county office and currently lives in Dallas Center. Hambleton ran unopposed in the 2014 election and ran again in 2018 where he won reelection against Julie Stewart.
