The WCV wrestling team took part in Sectionals over the weekend. They competed in the Class 1A Sectional 12.

The Wildcats ended the day with six wrestlers qualifying for Districts. This is a big improvement for the team. They were just short of the postseason last year.

WCV’s six wrestlers that are advancing finished all finished at the top. Five wrestlers finished second on the day. Braiden Beane, Blaise Beane, Gage Davis, Zach Teague, and Ayden Phippen, respectively. The lone first place winner was Kaedon Lindsay.

The six Wildcats will now focus on Districts this weekend.
