Paton-Churdan hosted Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton in Rolling Valley Activities Conference boys’ basketball last night in Churdan. The visiting Spartans won 86-39 to drop the Rockets to 1-17 overall and 1-12 in the conference.

Coach Bud Fagen reports Justin Stream scored 12 points with eight from Shaydon Thurman and six each for Joe Towers and Bradyn Smith. Smith had three assists and six rebounds while Seth Thurman led in steals with three.

P-C did not have enough girls to play last night, but are scheduled to play tonight when Coon Rapids-Bayard visits Churdan for a girl/boy doubleheader. It’s the girls’ final regular season game. Coach Tom Kennedy’s girls’ team is scheduled to play Ankeny Christian Academy Thursday night to open Class 1A regional tournament play.
