Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School received recognition from their participation in the state large group speech entries.

AC/GC had eight entries that performed at West De Moines Valley High School this past Saturday. Three of the groups were nominated for the All-State Festival including preforming acts mime “May The FORES Be With You , musical theater “Come From Away” and non preforming act of improv “Team Carlson”. Speech And Theater Teacher Kelsey Dinkla tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the hard work the students put in. 

“So we’ve been working since Thanksgiving. We have put in a lot of hours, a lot of time, a lot of commitment and, you know, to have three months of the kids hard work pay off in this way is awesome, and it’s so rewarding for people outside of our community to now be able to experience the magic that we make here at AC/GC.”

The All-State Festival at Iowa State University on February 19th.
