Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers wrestling will have five wrestlers competing in the district tournament on Saturday at Ballard, where they are placed in the Class 2A district 1 portion of the bracket.

The five Tiger wrestlers will include Jake Alexander at 113, Aiden Flora at 132, Ben Smith at 145, Kadin O’Connor at 152, and Nathan Tapken at 195. Each wrestler will be in the semifinals, as each knows who they will be wrestling against. According to trackwrestling.com, Alexander will be facing Owen Mayall of Humboldt, Flora will be taking on Luke Hartsook of Ballard, Smith against Christian Eslick of Roland-Story, O’Connor faces against Joe Weydert of Humboldt, and Tapken will take on Henry Christensen of Ballard.

If Tiger wrestlers can execute their game plan, they believe they have multiple wrestlers with the ability to get multiple wins.

The matches will be beginning at 11 am at Ballard High School, with hopes of finding wrestlers able to qualify for the state tournament in Des Moines.
