
The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved the county investment policy at their regular meeting Tuesday.
The Board approved the county investment policy as well as some revisions to the policy. Also, the Board approved the cancellation of the prior year’s outstanding checks which includes checks that have not been claimed.
Also, the Board approved a secondary roads truck purchase for two trucks in the amount of $274,840 from Housby Mack in Des Moines, a trailer purchase of two trailers in the amount of $134,100 from Erickson Trucks -n- Parts in Minnesota and a road drag purchase for $19,996 from Road Groom Manufacturing in Grundy Center.
Finally, the Board approved purchase agreements and conveyance of county-owned property for the exchange of properties, Carroll Snyder as the Colfax Township Trustee and set a public hearing of 9:30 a.m. March 1st for the total maximum property tax dollars certified for levy for general and rural county services.
The Board then held a budget workshop.
