The biggest meet of the year is happening tomorrow for Dallas Center – Grimes wrestling, as they will be competing against some excellent competition at Johnston in the Class 3A District 5 meet. The list of competitors is tough for this Mustang wrestling team, as they will be seeing opponents from Ames, Bondurant-Farrar, Des Moines Lincoln, Des Moines North-Hoover, Indianola, Johnston, and West Des Moines Valley.

Multiple state ranked wrestlers will be taking the mat around this event, and the Mustangs will be hoping to keep pace with the quality talent.

The Mustangs were able to have multiple wrestlers qualify for the state tournament last year, with Drew Clausen making it at 106 and Jacob Fistler at 126. Fistler is back this year, and he along with other Mustang grapplers will be looking to find a way onto the podium and booking a ticket to Des Moines next week.

The event will be beginning at 11 am, and Raccoon Valley Radio will be providing live updates throughout the day.
