After an AC/GC wrestler Tegan Slaybaugh finished fourth at the state wrestling tournament, Head Coach Lane Rumelhart says it has created a hunger to strive for more.

Rumelhart says as a first year coach, he had some growing pains but feels comfortable in the position now.  Rumelhart says he’s already started to plan for offseason workouts.

“Yep, yeah, we got some off season stuff planned for this summer. I have some college buddies that we’re all Americans better wrestlers than me that are going to come back and work with my guys. Some they got their coaching authorizations and all that and a couple of area clubs. I think some of my guys are going to get into. So the more mat time, the better.”

He adds that he wants his athletes to also explore other sports not just to focus on wrestling.
