8:53am: The court house advised a wanted male was in court today at 114 North Chestnut Street. The officers arrested Brandon Lee Ferguson, 23 of Perry on Outstanding Jefferson Police Department Arrest Warrants for, “Identity Theft, Driving While Barred, and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Offense/Meth.”

10:40am: Officers completed a Funeral Escort.

11:00am: Jane Waldo reported a Parking Complaint in the 100 Block of West Washington Street. The vehicle was moved before the officer’s arrival.

11:09am: Aureon employees advised that the company at 219 North Chestnut Street had received a Bomb Threat online. The building was evacuated. The officer soon learned the threat was made to the parent company about all Aureon locations in America. Nothing suspicious was located inside the building.

11:28am: Zeita Steadman spoke with an officer in connection to a Civil Issue occurring in Jefferson. The officer advised her to contact an attorney.

1:06pm: Gary Parker spoke with an officer with concerns for a subject he has a Protective Order against. No action was required from the officer.

4:04pm: Shirley Williams requested a Welfare Check on a female in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street. The officer spoke with the subject, who was fine.

6:04pm: An officer is investigating a report of a possible NCO Violation in Jefferson.

6:23pm: Jefferson Fire assisted with a motorist having Mechanical Problems on the overpass, until the officer arrived. The vehicle was removed a short time later.

7:13pm: A caller advised of a Domestic Argument occurring at 501 South Chestnut Street. The officer spoke to the couple, who advised it was just a Verbal Argument and no assistance was needed from the officer.

8:05pm: A caller requested a Welfare Check on a dog outside of 203 East Adams Street. No one was home when the officer arrived. The dog appeared to be fine.
