A reminder that today is the Iowa High School Speech Association District Individual Speech contest.

Greene County and Paton-Churdan High Schools are sending several students to Earlham High School for a chance to qualify for the state contest. Greene County High School Speech Coach Kelley Gray says eight students, including Ava and Eliot Schilling, Allee Hinote, Olivia Hoyt, Esther Van Horn, Bella Linberg, Rym Gherairi and Nina Cabinanda are competing in six categories. Paton-Churdan Speech Coach Kellie Henderson tells Raccoon Valley Radio Autumn Consier will compete in Solo Musical Theater and Jimmie Currier for Poetry.
