The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team is traveling to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines today for the Class 2A State Quarterfinal matchup against the Iowa City Regina Regals.

After appearing in their fourth regional championship game this year the Panorama Panthers girls basketball team won the recent regional championship game and punched their ticket to the Class 2A State Tournament that begins today at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

The Panthers girls basketball team earned their spot in the Class 2A State Tournament after beating the Nodaway Valley Wolverines by a score of 58-41. Head Coach Kylee Boettcher says the mindset going into the game is for the Panthers girls to continue to play the game the way they have all season.

“We are going to stick to what we do. Our games not changing just because we are going down to Wells Fargo. Yeah it’s a little bigger arena but everything is still the same, our game plan, our pressure, our offense. The girls already have the tools that they need it’s just now going and putting it in a different environment and I really think these girls our ready. The determination, the focus that they’ve had you can really see it and I feel like we are going to put on a good show.”

The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team will be taking on the Iowa City Regina Regals tonight beginning at 8:30 p.m. from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. You can tune into the game live on True County K1079 or online at raccoonvalleyradio.com
