The Lied Recreation Center on the Iowa State University Campus in Ames was the site of the Iowa Association of Track Coaches Indoor Championships for girls yesterday. Greene County entered six events at the meet, which was held in four different class sizes of schools and did have team scoring. Coach Derek Merk watched his team compete in Class 2A against similar size schools. The highest finishes for the Rams came in the 4 x 400 and 4 x 100 meter relays, which finished fifth of eight teams and sixth of 18 quartets, respectively. The Greene County team scored six points.

Shot put: Emma Hoyle 18th, 27′ 6-1/2″; Ashlynn Hinners 23rd, 25- 6-1/4″

Sprint Medley Relay: 14th, 2:11.53 (Rylan Sigler, Kamryn Sanders, Gretah Kersey, Bella Schroeder)

60 meter dash: Schroeder 25th, :09.11; Kersey 36th, :09.48

400 meter dash: Sigler 13th, 1:10.96; Alexa Peters 15th, 1:11.74

4 x 100 meter relay: 6th, :54.42 (Olivia Shannon-Katrina Heupel-Peters- Natalie Heupel)

4 x 400 meter relay: 5th, 4:33.39 (K. Heupel-Sanders- Shannon- N. Heupel)

Coach Chad Morton takes several boys’ events to the same meet in Ames today.
