Greene County had a pair of second place event finishes and was seventh in the team standings in the Class 2A portion of the Iowa Association of Track Coaches Championships indoors Friday in Ames at the Lied Recreation Center with 26 points.

Both hurdles races saw the Rams finish in second place. Senior Jackson Morton was second in the 60 meter hurdles in 8.43 seconds after qualifying second in the prelims with a time of 8.60. Morton anchored the 60 meter shuttle hurdle relay to a runner-up finish behind Spirit Lake in 34.90 seconds. Senior Bryce Stalder ran leadoff with senior Nate Black in the second spot and junior Richard Daugherty running third.

Other high finishes for Greene County  included three events in sixth place. One of those came in the high jump where Black was sixth at 5′ 8″. Stalder was sixth in the long jump at 19′ 11″ and the 4 x 400 meter relay was sixth in 3:40.02 with Morton, Stalder, Black, and Daugherty. The 4 x 100 meter relay was eighth in :46.16 with senior Daniel Rivera, freshman Camden Strennen, and juniors Jose Velazco and Jesse Miller.
