Several youth soccer programs are starting up soon with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.

U10 and U12 Soccer is with the Boone Soccer Club. Practices will begin March 14th at the high school football practice field in Jefferson and games will start April 9th and will be played at the soccer fields near the Des Moines Area Community College campus in Boone. The registration deadline is March 11th and parents or guardians must sign up their child with the Greene County Community Center as well as through the Boone Soccer Club website. Registration fee is $70 and a copy of the child’s birth certificate is required.

The U8 Soccer League will be on Saturdays from April 9th-30th, with practices and games to take place at Kelso Park. The registration deadline is March 16th with a $35 fee for community center members and $40 for non-members. Additional costs include $15 for a youth jersey, $17 for an adult jersey and $5 for socks. 

Both soccer programs require shin guards and shoes can’t have the front toe cleat. For more information or to sign up, contact the community center in Jefferson at 515-386-3412.
