Dallas Center-Grimes High School basketball wins their first ever state title in program history Friday afternoon.

The Mustangs defeated Central DeWitt in the Class 3A State Championship by a score of (56-53). Senior Jacob Runyan led the Mustangs to a victory shooting 12-16 from the field and scoring 31 points along with Senior Bo Huston making all four of his shots for a total of 10 points. Dallas Center-Grimes as team shot 62 percent  from the field and made 10 three pointers in the championship game.

The Mustangs finish this championship run winning  seven straight games and three of them in Des Moines that include Carroll in the quarterfinal (65-45), Winterset in the Semi-final (63-46) and Central DeWitt to win the Class 3A State Championship at the Wells Fargo Arena.
