All the Guthrie County schools will have participants at the Iowa High School Speech Association Individual State contest today in Adel. 

Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School will have five students competing in categories, including : Expository Address, Solo Musical Theater, Storytelling and Acting. 

West Central Valley High School also will have five students that are competing in Poetry, Storytelling, Prose and Literary Program.

Panorama High School will send 11 students in various categories such as Poetry, Acting, Prose, Original Oratory and Solo Musical Theater. The Iowa High School Speech Association Individual State competition will take place at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School Saturday.

If these students qualify with a Division I rating along with receiving a judge’s nomination for the All-State honor they will go on to perform again at the All-State Festival which will be held on March 28th at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
