Funeral services for Sharon Faye Maasen, 78, of Westside, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia and burial will be in the Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia from 5–7 p.m. on Tuesday, where there will be a prayer service held at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held at the church from 9:30–10:15 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.

Sharon is survived by her children and their families, including: son, Bradley (Kristy) Maasen of Mt. Carmel; three daughters, Shawna (Tony) Wagner of Carroll, Shayla Maasen (Lynell Mims) of Indian Land, SC, and Stacey Maasen (Robera Merdassa) of Burnsville, MN; thirteen grandchildren: Kelsey Wagner, Brandon Maasen, Brandi Wagner, Brooke Wagner, Jacob Maasen, Jamal Mohamud, Xavier Mohamud, Markus Wagner, Dhimitrios Mohamud, Arleahna Mims, Nyah Mims, Sebastian Merdassa, and Lyden Mims; six great-grandchildren: Charlee, Thaddeus, Astrid, Aria, Daisy, and Logan; her siblings: LeRoy (Joyce) Kaspersen of Humboldt, Twyla (Jim) Rowley of Syracuse, NE, Marjean (Tom) Lipton of Carroll, Keith (Diane) Kaspersen of Westside, and Kelly Kaspersen of Carroll; three brothers-in-law: Dave (Donna) Maasen of Clive, Doug (Starr) Maasen of Missouri Valley, and Tim Vauble of Omaha; and many nieces and nephews.
