clue-the-musical

A reminder that there’s two performances left for the spring production with the Community Players of Greene County.

“Clue: The Musical” is based on the board game by Parker Brothers. The musical is written by Peter DePietro and it is the story of six characters who are all suspects of a murder scene and the audience tries to figure out who “done it,” with which weapon and in which of the six rooms.

The cast includes: Alicia Sloan as Mrs. Peacock, Bill Monroe as Professor Plum, Alexis Stevens as Miss Scarlet, Tim Pound as Colonel Mustard, Darren Jackson as Mrs. White, Chad Stevens as Mr. Green, Linda Nichols as the detective and David Michael of Ames as Mr. Boddy. For Chad Stevens, he was last in a show with the Community Players in 2019 and is excited to rejoin the community theater group.

“The last performance we did was ‘Our Town’ and it was really kind of a solemn and just not really exciting and comical. I mean this show it’s just a lot of fun (with) singing and it really a comedy and you’ll just come out, and enjoy yourself, and have a great time.”

Tonight’s show is at 7pm and tomorrow will be a matinee at 2pm, both performances at the Greene County High School auditorium. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Home State Bank for tonight’s show and Heartland Bank for tomorrow. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.

Additionally, prior to tomorrow’s show will be a Staley’s Chicken Fundraiser meal with the Jefferson Kiwanis Club. The meal will be served at the high school commons from 11am-1pm and tickets for that are $12 for adults and $8 for students, with proceeds to benefit youth programs and projects in Greene County.
