When the Panorama Panthers girls and boys basketball teams concluded their seasons, many players as well as coaches were selected for postseason honors and it’s time to look back on who received them.

The Panorama Panthers boys basketball team finished their season with an overall record of 15-9 on the season and making it all the way to the District 15 Championship game where they fell to the Van Meter Bulldogs. Four Panthers boys players earned recognition on the West Central Activities Conference All-Conference Team this year.

Sophomore Braylon Dawes earned an honorable mention and sophomore Maddox Hammerstrom also earned an honorable mention nod.Two Panorama Panthers seniors also earned some form of recognition as senior Brice Taylor earned a second team vote.Also, senior Jared Wasson earned a first team all conference nod. For the Panthers boys coach Nick Peasley was named as West Central Activities Conference Coach of the Year.

The Panthers girls also had a bunch of players earn postseason honors after a season that took them all the way to the State Semifinal round. For the West Central Activities Conference All-Conference honors Payton Beckman, by a unanimous vote, and Laci Rishel were both named first team all-conference and Jaidyn Sellers was given a second team all-conference vote. Also, Angel Poldberg and Tyme Boettcher were both named for honorable mention.

After finishing the season with an overall record of 25-2 including the postseason and not losing to a conference opponent all year the West Central Activities Conference was looking for its coach of the year and Head Coach Kylee Boettcher was named as conference coach of the year. Boettcher also received an all-district coach of the year honor from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association All-District team.

Also, Beckman and Rishel received a vote on the Iowa Girls Coaches Association All-District Team. Beckman was also selected for the Iowa Girls Coaches Association All-Star Team where she will play on the Class 2A Select Team on April 10th at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids where she will be coached by Head Coach of the Denver Cyclones Joe Frost. Beckman also received an honor for the 2022 Class 2A All-Tournament Team.
