A local library will be hosting a fun event this week where those participating can use dart guns in the library.

The Adel Public Library will be hosting an after-hours Nerf War for teens who are in sixth grade or up from 6-8 p.m. tomorrow at the library. Patron Services Manager Amy Puck says the program was supposed to happen a while ago.

“The after-hours Nerf War was a program we had scheduled some time ago but once again due to COVID restrictions we decided it was safer to cancel it and lots of people were very disappointed in this so we brought it back as soon as we could.”

Puck tells Raccoon Valley Radio the event will take place throughout the entire library. Puck says there will also be food provided.

“We are also going to supply pizza for all of the kids afterwards. So, once again we are asking sixth graders and older for our participation. There is no registration and all you need to do is show up.”

You can feel free to bring your own Nerf gun but they are limited to a six dart capacity. Also, the library has a limited supply of Nerf guns for those who do not own one. For more information on the program you can go here.
